The Story Society Bendigo is delighted to present a conversation about writing queer fiction to celebrate PRIDE month with three wonderful Australian authors:

Amie Kaufman is a New York Times, USA Today and internationally bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy. Her latest novel, One Knight Stand, co-authored with Megan Spooner, is the second book in a fiercely feminist, deliciously queer series, which bursts with love and humour.

Darcy Green is a Naarm-based author who writes joyful queer stories across a variety of genres. Their debut novel, After the Siren, is a romantic comedy about two AFLM players who discover they don’t dislike one another after all.

Max Francis is an author of queer fiction. His first novel is, Honor & Heresy, an atmospheric, gothic, dark academic fantasy of two scholars racing each other to find answers to an invasion in a haunted library.
